Meet the Beaumont LEAD Graduates

Self-Advocates trained, prepared, and ready to lead

This group of LEAD graduates completed an intensive leadership program in Beaumont designed to prepare self-advocates with intellectual and developmental disabilities to serve in meaningful leadership roles in their community.

Through LEAD, these graduates built skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and civic engagement. They practiced how to participate in meetings, share their perspectives, understand how boards and committees work, and speak up for themselves and others.

They didn’t just learn about leadership — they practiced it.

The graduates on this page are now ready to serve on local boards, advisory councils, planning committees, nonprofit boards, and community groups across Beaumont and Southeast Texas.

We invite community organizations, nonprofits, civic groups, and local leaders to connect with these LEAD graduates when looking for individuals who bring lived experience, thoughtful insight, and a strong commitment to making our community better for everyone.
